Looking for a way to stay motivated after your New Year’s Resolution runs out? Join your fellow Coogs and participate in the 2012 Biggest Loser: UH Edition challenge. The program runs for six weeks, coming to a conclusion right before spring break. Whether you want to lose weight, add muscle, or just stay healthy this personalized program will help you stay motivated and achieve your goals.
The first official event will be held on January 21, 2012, from 10:00AM-1:00PM, where you will receive your first fitness assessment. During the first assessment, your baseline of fitness will be determined. At the end of 6 weeks you’ll go though the same tests and be able to compare your results and see your progression!
During the 6 weeks you’ll have all the tools you need to start your transformation. Every Saturday, there will be an exclusive “Last Chance” workout for participants. Every Friday the Wellness Lecture Series will give you the education to back up your motivation by covering topics like nutrition, goal-setting, and cutting-edge exercise techniques. Other exclusive services include nutrition counseling, stress-management, and a weekly workout “punch card” to keep you on the right track.
To complete the program you must attend both the ‘before’ and ‘after’ assessments and earn 35 Biggest Loser Points. You will earn one point for each workout you complete (maximum 6 per week) and each Wellness Lecture you attend. You’ll also earn additional points for attending the “Last Chance” workouts as well as the nutrition and stress management counseling. With your completion of the program, you will receive and exclusive Biggest Loser: UH Edition t-shirt.
The program cost of $25 covers both fitness assessments (a $30 value), exclusive workouts, access to the lectures and nutrition counseling and your own Biggest Loser: UH Edition t-shirt upon completion of the program. The top ten percent of participants with the most points at the end of the program will be entered into a raffle for a free personal training package. Points are awarded based on participation through completion of workouts and attendance of lectures, not weight loss.
